Facelift/Mini Lift
A facelift/mini lift is an individualized procedure based on your specific needs. The lower face and neck is often difficult to address with non-surgical modalities. From erasing early jowls to deep, robust correction of loose skin in the neck, Dr. Lichtenberger can design an optimal plan to address aging changes in the lower face at any age.
Liposuction (Face & Neck)
Facial liposuction, sub-mental liposuction and facial suction lipectomy is the removal of fat from under the chin from an incision below the jaw or at the jaw angle to remove jowl fat. This procedure can significantly reduce the appearance of excess facial fat. Sometimes these complaints are called a “double-chin” or “jowls”. This is often a result of aging, obesity, or heredity.
Brow Lift/Forehead Lift
Often the brow and forehead area show the first signs of aging, resulting in frown lines, wrinkling across the forehead, and an increasing heaviness of the eyebrows. As a result, many people have opted for a procedure known as the forehead or brow lift. Based on variations in how men and women age and on new advances in medical technology, different methods are used to perform this procedure, including an endoscopic approach with no visible incisions!
Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)
Protruding ears can be very difficult for young children and adults alike. This surgery can be performed at any age after the ears have reached full size, (usually around five to six years of age). Patients often find this surgery improves self-esteem with relative ease. Not only is it possible to “pin back” ears, but ears can also be reshaped, reduced in size, or made more symmetrical. Earlobe size or elongated ear piercing holes can also be treated with surgical correction.
Neck Lift (Platysmaplasty)
A Neck Lift, or platysmaplasty, is a surgery designed to reduce the loose look of sagging skin in the neck area and under the jaw line. Some patients who complain of having a fleshy neck, “jowls”, plastysma or neck “banding”, or a “turkey waddle” can benefit from this procedure. A neck lift is often combined with a face lift procedure to achieve balanced, natural improvement in facial contour.
Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)
Rhinoplasty is the surgery of the nose to either thin, turn up, augment, shorten, elongate or otherwise bring balance to the face. Septoplasty restores and increases functionality and ease of breathing. A full Rhinoplasty includes the alteration of the bone and cartilage of the nose to reshape its appearance. The nose should be naturally shaped and blend into the rest of the face. Dr. Lichtenberger focuses on maintaining functional breathing when improving the appearance of the nose.
Eyelid Surgery
Droopy eyelids lead to an older and more tired appearance and can also impair vision. Blepharoplasty (surgery to reshape the upper and lower eyelids) corrects this with removal of extra skin and fat, lifting and tightening to improve and enlarge the eyes. It is said the eyes are the windows to the soul, and Dr. Lichtenberger performs more eyelid surgeries (for both cosmetic and functional reasons) than any other procedure.
